I have a 95 S6 with a Movit Big brake kit installed in 99 (993TT calipers and 322mm rotors/custom hat).

I have been trying to track down a source to get a set of replacement rotors - and I've been told may have to replace the hats also.

The old US distributor -Ultimate Garage no longer stocks Movit kits or replacement parts.

ECS tuning wanted to sell me a complete kit to obtain the pieces I need - think my calipers have a few more years of life in them (BTW what is the general rule of thumb on servicing/rebuilding calipers?)

Has anyone else with a Movit kit run into this problem? Have yet to send an email back to Movit HQ in Germany (did send one up to Canadian distributor -still waiting for answer)

Any suggestions are welcome (rotors have reached service life...) thanks in advance

I suggest trying someone like Hoerr Racing.

In all likelyhood, Movit buys rotors from someone else -- probably either Brembo or AP Racing. AP Racing offers a Huge Selection of rotors, though a 322mm rotor isn't listed. Hoerr Racing sells Brembo, Performance Friction, and Alcon rotors.

If worst comes to worst, Hoerr can also make custom rotors. Whether custom or not, though, you'll need to measure your current rotors to get all the critical dimensions listed on This PDF.

Regarding a rule of thumb on caliper rebuilds, mine is "If it's not broke, don't fix it." As long the brake fluid is regular flushed (or bled heavily), the brake fluid won't absorb enough water to get corrosive, score the piston bores, and destroy the seals. In that case, the calipers could last the life of the car without a rebuild.

you can try porsche dealer with these part #'s
99335104510 and 99335104610 for left and right. They will come with hats on but you can swap them. Little expensive but shop around on line for best price.
