My car is a 93 urS4 that has an actual dry weight of 3685lbs. I have 993tt calipers in the front with custom hats and 993tt rotors. The rears are 993tt rear calipers which are slightly smaller than the fronts with correspondingly smaller pistons. The rotors are 314x30 with custom hats and brackets. The real trick was the e-brake. I used a WRC type dedicated master cylinder mounted at the rear using the stock cables with custom brackets to activate.
For pads I run stock Textars in the rear and Porterfield R4Ss in the front for the street. For the track I swap out the Porterfields for Pagid Orange in the front only. I don't run any bias control other than the pad bias. This braking system just plain rocks.
I should mention my suspension setup to give you guys more info. I run custom valved Bilsteins that are corner weight biased with a basic +10% for compression and +30% rebound. In addition I have Eibach Prokit springs in the front and coil-overs with 400lb linear Eibachs vs 280lbs for the old Prokits in the rear. I also have a custom 26mm rear sway bar and the stock 26mm bar in the front. Add on the 2Bennett 2nd Gen soild spherical camber/caster plates and that's about it. Oh yeah, my 2.2 litre AAN I-5 has put down 430hp/475ft lbs to the wheels. That's why I needed these brakes. When I do full-on braking the car does not dive, it squats with a balanced feel. Nothing twitchy about it at all. I have over 20,000 miles and 8 track days with absolutely no fading.
