Hi, didn't really find a definitive answer through the search option so I thought I'd ask... the suspention on my '96 is starting to feel a bit droopy and there is a guy close by with springs/struts laying around from his 2001 1.8T. He has the sport suspention. Will his springs/struts fit on my '96 2.8 quattro?
Thanks, Matt

unless you want to lower the front right height.

If you're going from currently non-sport height, to the 1.8T sport height, it'll drop the car about 1" in front, and about .75" in back. You'll have a noticeable front rake to the car, and the springs will be a touch on the soft side for your car.

It's doable, but certainly not the ideal solution.

Considering upgrading the shocks to something like Bilsteins or KONI's. You'll maintain the ride height, get a shock with a lifetime warranty, and improve the ride considerably.
