Just bought new tires which is nice, but have always hated the (non-sport) suspension feel on my 99 A4. Was looking to also replace (only) the shocks. Stock ones have around 85K.

Any recommendations for a decent upgrade? I want/need stock height for winter/clearance & have (boring old) stock rims & tire size for same reason. Have had Koni's on a couple cars & Bilsteins on another.

Both feature lifetime warranties and work just fine with the stock springs you wish to keep.
The KONI's offer a little more comfort over the Bilsteins, but both are still very streetable, and huge improvements over worn stock shocks.
