I have the stock sport suspension. I really like the ride and the level of firmness. I would however like to lower the ride height 1/2" or so, to get rid of some wheel gap. I really want to keep the sport luxury ride, and don't want to go any stiffer then how it is now. I have thought about airbags, but as far as I know, there are no systems out there for my car. PSS9's may be an option and I know they are adjustable as far as comfort, but how much rougher is the most comfortable setting compared with the stock sport suspension. Just looking for some suspension guru advice.

TIA.

about 25% stiffer. I'd consider them, or the ECS coilovers. They at least warranty their sales well.
My opinion.

Can't help you with the PSS9's but I recently had the Stasis Olin's and rear H-Sport Sway installed on my 02 A6 4.2. The handling is much better than OEM Sport. No stiffer over really bad roads and actually much smoother over bumps and expansion joints.
