what's that mean? My car has SHOCKS and SPPRINGS which together look just like the COIL OVERS. So what does that terminology mean?
Getting ready to DIY install Bilsteins PSS9...
Thanks,

In traditional sense, the term coilover was a description of the spring when it sat on the strut/shock, and coiled around it.
If you look at your front suspension, that spring/shock combination is a coilover type design.
The term "coilovers" now however is short for Height Adjustable Coilover, and more loosely means that the suspension KIT as a whole is height adjustable in nature. The suspension may or may not actually consist of a traditional coilover spring/shock setup. But more as a whole system, the "coilovers" really refer to a setup that is height adjustable in nature.
