This mod does for the driveline and feel of the ride what a chip does for the ar's performance and power. The DTS is that obvious and the feel is that much improved.
It attaches the tranny to the frame of the ar. In the process it pulls the tranny a bit downward. This adds tension against the regular tranny mounts and it takes up the movement we experience that transmits through the MT Shifter with on and off power. Being the DTS pulls the tranny downward a bit, the shifter in your hand is lowered as well. Its perceptible and the way the car shifts is tighter.. its more precise. Now I understand what others talked about with the combination of the DTS and the Toy Guy SS.
Without the DTS.. the first bit of power applied goes to the movement of the tranny, let up on the gas, shift and again we feel the tranny move a bit before the power goes to the wheels. With the DTS this movement is eliminted being the tranny is "tied down". Now when you start off in 1st, the power that first 'moved the tranny" is being sent directly to the wheels, when you shift and get on the power.. the same quick delivery of power is there.
It feels great and is a completely worthwile mod.
Why did I wait 76,000 miles to do this?
