Okay, the search did not seem to answer this very well. I have a new set of Koni coilovers to install in my 2002 Audi A4 Avant. I will be using a set of 19X8" rims on 235/35/19 tires. What I would like to know is what height setting to have on the coilovers to get the ride height just over the tires. What is a good starting setting to use measuring from the bottom of the threaded portion of the coilovers? Is one inch up a good starting point? I know I can adjust it on the car but it is much easier to do them off the car first which is why I am asking what setting has worked well for other Koni coilover users. Thanks, David

My last suspension (VW) was cadnium plated also and it was great thru the winters in New England (salt) and then here in Colorado (magnesium chloride). I never had a problem with rusting or getting corroded. On my A4 i now have the cadnium plated STaSIS setup and think it will work out just as good as my last setup. I do think it is key 1-2x a year (when you change from summer to winter wheels and vice versa to just clean the suspension bits and spray some new silicon lube on the threads to keep them protected.
