I bought a set of Eibach springs a long long time ago and just now am getting around to putting them on with new shocks. (Probably with BS Sports or Eibach shocks, undecided)

The problem is I can't remember if I bought shocks from an Avant or a sedan way back when!? ;-( --It was several years ago when I was still a fresh noob. Over the years I have seen many a post stating it's OK to use sedan springs on an avant, and many stating it's not OK... which is it!? They are from a 1.8TQ (what I need) that I know... or that's what I was sold by a fellow AW'er.

Are there part #'s I can "run" or? TIA.

My question/comment is that right now with the non-sport suspension my Avant sits low in the @ss, like it's a Friday and it's worked hard all week. They all seem to from what I've noticed. The difference is pretty noticable, anything I can do short of coilovers to help that? Maybe grooved rear shocks? Thanks again in advance I really appreciate it.

The part #'s on my springs are

Front: Eibach 24 99

Votex (in funky script)

8D0071677VA

Rear: Eibach 25 99

Votex

8D4071676HA

I REALLY hope these are for a 1.8TQ? Thx.

Any experience/thoughts on those? I love the idea of being able to "crank up" the suspension for the winter but don't need the all out performance of true coilovers, also don't want the cost.

Thanks all.

...it will likey result in a higher rear ride height since avant's have more weight back there.

So most avant spec rear springs have a slightly higher rate.

I think I'm going to get the ECS tuning's poor mans coilovers. Maybe not, I just can't decide!

Thanks for the reply though. ;)

There are a ton of options, and personally, Bilstein's plus Springs plus ECS CO Sleeves will cost you more then some true coilovers.

From what I understand true coilovers ride a little harsh? Maybe that's all dependent on the maker? I don't know that much about coilovers so...

I may just go with shocks for now with the Eibach's, or sell the car and get a TT 225 coupe. ;-)

...they don't create any added harshness by being height adjustable.

Since you already have the Eibach springs, I'd try to get the Eibach Dampers that go with them.

If that doesn't pan out, a set of KONI Sports will be more comfortable then a set of Bilstein's, so I'd go KONI for more comfort/compliance.
