between H&R race/sport. its for a 99 A4Q. the 1.25 (sport) drop for the front doesnt seem like enough of a drop but. im thinking the race would be too stiff, and require some camber correction?

View Full Version : who knows the spring rates cj99si 04-30-2005, 10:01 PM between H&R race/sport. its for a 99 A4Q. the 1.25 (sport) drop for the front doesnt seem like enough of a drop but. im thinking the race would be too stiff, and require some camber correction? -Corey lugnut30 05-01-2005, 07:15 PM The sports are soft!!!! The race are too low!!! What are your needs? are you racing? do you just want to lower the car,or are you looking to improve handling? lugnut30 05-01-2005, 07:17 PM If you know the spring numbers,I have the rates of most springs for the B5 chassis cj99si 05-03-2005, 06:03 AM I have the oem sport suspension right now. will h&R sport be stiffer than that? it must be.. -Corey lugnut30 05-03-2005, 06:37 AM They are indeed slightly stiffer, however they will lower the car a lot.The result is a stiffer ride, but no real improvement in handling.(it will still have a lot of body roll, and understeer) cj99si 05-03-2005, 12:51 PM my problem is theres a 3.5 inch wheel gap up front and a 3 inch gap in back. a 1.25 from the h&r up fron wont even touch that gap. but I dont want to drop it any further and mess up my camber. when does camber start getting bad front and back? -Corey |
