About a year and a half ago I had Koni adjustable shocks and H&R sport springs installed on my 2001 Audi A4, which had had the factory sport suspension before that. Currently, the ride seems to have deteriorated in that the car bounces about three times for every bump it hits. The roads around Lexington are fairly crappy and I wonder if there is something wrong with the suspension (shocks prematurely wearing out maybe?) or if I am just hitting a lot more bumps and thus being more frequently irritated.
So, if it is just the condition of the roads (which isn't going to change any time soon), is there anything I can do to smooth out the ride a little? I don't mind giving up a little cornering performance at this point since 99% of the driving in the car is commuting here in Pothole City. Conversely, does this sound instead like a mechanical problem with one or more of the suspension components, and if so what can I do about it? TIA
