View Full Version : I just put on the H&R/Bilstein Combo the other day and i was wondering Nogaro_Flash 03-24-2005, 07:40 AM will i have any problems with fitting 18's, or will i have to do some fender rolling? BTW, it currently sits right at 25" in the front. MikekiM@PureMS 03-27-2005, 09:31 AM But it will depend on the wheels you select, and their widths and offset. And of course which tires you choose. s4wood 04-04-2005, 12:30 PM I read your other post...2 hours for a spring/shock replacement on a B6 A4? Wow...you got game. You torquing down the bolts with a torque wrench? I have done a lot of installs of coilovers (H&R/Stasis/intrax/KW on B5 A4/S4, and StaSIS tracksports/streetsports on B6 A4), but I could never do that job in 2 hours. MikekiM@PureMS 04-06-2005, 10:18 AM We remove the rear springs without touching the subframe, spring comes out in under 5 mins. I usually work with a second person for this car, thought it'll be a lot nicer when I get my lift next month! That's where we save a ton of time. Fronts of course are straightfoward, since the aluminum uprights don't have the corrosion problems on the pinch bolt. Plus the fronts have 2 fewer nuts to remove since the top bushing and upper control arm plates are integral. This of course would be for a simple shock/spring setup. Coilovers obviously would take longer, depending on the height adjustments. |
