I've basically narrowed it down to the Koni sport shocks per some other recommendations and the tougher ride than Bilsteins.
I have a A4 2.8 Avant with sports suspension. I'm going to track 2, maybe 3 times, this year and about 5 Auto-X's. Otherwise 30-40 miles a day driving. I'm thinking a mix of performance (response) and looks (lowering). Currently, I have a 3" gap with 17" RC's on the car. I was thinking H&R Race springs but it looks like the performance is there but not the looks. Supposedly, it equates to 1" drop on sports suspension. Too little, IMO...
I'm still learning but what do other sports suspension A4's do for shock to get performance and looks?

http://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2292186.phtml
