Just went for the 15k scheduled maintenance 5 months ago. Now the coolant level (the pink fluid) is already a hair below the minimum level. How can I tell if there's coolant leak?

Does the warranty cover coolant fill-up? If not, what's a good coolant for the 2.0T engine?

though it should be quite rare for a car this new to be leaking coolant. Checking the floor under the car can not always tell you, because the belly pan can prevent much of this from hitting the ground, especially on a slow leak.

To get more coolant, tell the dealer parts counter that you need "the pink coolant". They will know what to do. The VW dealer might sell it for less as compared to Audi.

If you need to mix it, use distilled water. Distilled water is about $1/gallon at any popular food store.

Worst case, it's leaning somewhere you can not see, like inside the engine.

The warranty may cover fill up, but low coolant is generally a sign of a problem. You may wan tto have them investigate.

yes that is a coolant leak. white everywhere
i had a heater hose fail early on my 2006 mod and the hose had to be replaced ,actually they replaced all the hose's as once the spring clamp has been used on a hose it will start to leak no matter what clamps are used .

I don't notice any rise in engine temperature at all. Even the self-diagnostic "check" button doesn't show anything unusual. Calling my dealer first thing in the morning for an appointment. Thanks!
