Greetings all from a noob Audi owner! Just picked up our A4 a week ago today - specs:
'08 A4, red, 2.0T quattro, Tip, S-line, heated seats, Symphony, iPod, etc... about 2k less than invoice too!
Initial driving impressions: extremely fun. The combination of quattro and S-line make this tighter than our '02 BMW 330Ci convertible (may be risking flames there, but having owned both, it's true). The stability and solid build of the car give us no worries about trading in the baby-hauler (Volvo XC90) for this car. Gas mileage is wonderful - 21 to 22 mpg city on the first 1 1/2 tanks with my lead foot. Ergonomics and interior quality are top notch. Having test-driven Lexus (IS350) and Infiniti (G35), those brands could definitely learn what "elegant simplicity" means!
Only time will tell whether we experience some of the more "entertaining" maintenance issues or not - both the BMW and Volvo had their own sets of quirks. But for now I can't wait for the next opportunity to drive our new Audi!
