I've seen people mount the V1 higher than the RVM on the B7. Will rear detection be compromised since the V1 doesn't have a clear line of sight of the rear and pointing at the rear headliner instead?

Mine is about level with the RVM, on the passenger's side. Perhaps just a tick higher. Pretty good sight from there.
