Hi - Been lurking on here for a while and am looking for advice.

Current owner of a 1999 A4 1.8 with around 109k miles on it. It was the first car I bought (very used) straight out of school, and now am finally ready to upgrade to a newer A4. Right now my target was to get a 2006-2007 A4 2.0t with less than 25k miles on it. I was hoping to spend around 20k or less with the trade in.

I am on the margin of being able to find a deal like this, but was wondering if I was to hold off until the new A4's come out with the new platform - how much of a better deal would I be able to find? Also, does anyone know exactly when the new ones are coming out? I am located in Western MA - does anyone have a place around the Springfield/Worcester/Hartford/Boston areas that they prefer?

Sorry for all of the questions - I am just trying to get as much info as possible...

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

My best guess is deals on brand new B7s will be strongest the month before and during delivery of the B8s, but used deals may be a different story. There are always those who desire the B7 and don't even like the B8 at all.

Example: '08 STI can be had for $35k and is argueable a better performing vehicle than the '07, but since the '08 is a hatch many prospective buyers skipped it and demand for '07s is high. (Used 10k+ mile '07 = $32k)
