I thought some settings were, wondering how to make it so my phone pairs when I am driving and gf's phone does when she is.

View Full Version : Is Bluetooth specific to which key is in ignition loder 02-02-2008, 04:20 PM I thought some settings were, wondering how to make it so my phone pairs when I am driving and gf's phone does when she is. silber_m3 02-02-2008, 06:57 PM are in the car. Must be because I set hers up first. As long as both phones have been paired separately, you'll be able to use BT when either you or your gf drives the car. That being said, I wish Audi would have made seat memory tied to the key. I *really* would have considered a 3.2 if I had realized seat memory was not standard or available on the 2.0. Frankly, for a car over 40K with all of the available options, it is unacceptable in my opinion that it isn't even an option. </rant> loder 02-02-2008, 07:22 PM Sanjman 02-03-2008, 05:14 PM don't think so... the bluetooth module should be able to hold multiple profiles... so whether you step in your car or your wife it should pick it up. Although the battery life on the phone might get worse, you might want to just leave the bluetooth powered on on your phone. Not sure what happens if both jump in the car... but probably the first person added to the bluetooth module should get priority. However, I do not have direct experience with the B7 bluetooth module, so it may lack features as a lot of the feature on our cars do (i.e. steering wheel controls) PetrolDave 02-04-2008, 09:56 AM there definitely is not any way to change the phone that it first pairs with depending on the key in the ignition. |
