i have a stupid question. i just got my new 2008 audi a4 and im having a problem, when using the fm tuner the left scroll wheel does not change to next preset. instead when rolling the wheel, it simply scans for the next station. is there something im doing wrong?

if you mean pressing the dial on the head unit itself, all that does for me is begin auto scannin for all stations i think. it has no effect on my steering wheel controls.

just to scan to the next station. i have the nav, so i have to set it to my presets on the screen and then i can scroll through them.

i'll figure out which one it is tonight.

from what i've read in audiforums.com, it appears to be a problem in 2008. any '08 owners can confirm this or am i just retarded....

no NAV system

i have a loaner car and its an 08 the left hand control on the steering wheel scans, on my 07 it goes through presets.

scroll them, if Im in reg tune mode it goes to the next station.

i guess it might work with NAV then, my '08 is without NAV

is the loaner with or without NAV, and your 07 is it with or without NAV as well?

I was having an issue where the left wheel would randomly not scroll at all for stations, pre-sets or phone numbers. They ended up changing the coding and replacing a wire in the steering wheel. Problem solved...works fine now.

I have an '07 and I can't scan through presets on my non-NAV system, either; only stations.

I made it. I took that pic on a hill near my house when I temporarily has my old lease, and my new lease. Then converted it to look like a cartoon.
