I just got back from having my 15K service on my 07 A4. I asked at the parts counter about getting a phone adaptor for the arm-rest storage bin. I have the BT option, but I'd like to get power for the phone from other than the 2 outlets in the cabin; the one near the cup holders is poorly designed, in that you can't get the 2nd drink in the holder with a plug in the outlet (really stupid).

Anyway, the adaptor for my phone is $270! That's more than the phone is worth.

Has anyone hacked the connector in the arm--rest storage to get power? If not, does anyone have a schematic for the connector in storage bin?

I use the one in the trunk for laptop and camera battery charging it works great.

Not a great fix but it works.
