<center><img src="http://pub.ck84.ws/sat.jpg"></center><p>Hey Guys,

I installed an XM receiver into my 2007 A4 today and unfortunately I had to move the plug near the passenger side kick plate to enable it.

Problem is that I can't remove the piece from the last point where it fastens in (right next to the glove box). I took a picture... let me know if there is some kind of special technique to remove it.

I had mine off about a year ago for my stereo install. If I recall correctly, just pull off that side panel next to the glove box. It sits over that plastic piece you're trying to remove. To remove the piece you're struggling with, just pull the rest of it straight towards the rear of the car. The metal clips on mine pulled out, but a needle nose plier was my friend. It's a ****ty design, nothing to do with the plastic. ;)

P.S. Don't break anything! Good luck!

Are u sure you have to remove that piece??....if your car was prewired, the harness should be right behind that kick plate underneath . I didnt have to do that for mine.

No I'm not required to remove it completly and yeah I already moved the harness. I just want to take it all the way off so that when I put it back on I can reseat everything correctly. Plus I think I broke one of the clips :).

Well mission completed! One of the metal clips fell into the body of the car so I went to Audi and bought a couple of those and took a look at the R8.

BTW, you need to pop off the cover on the side of the glove box in order to remove the plastic lining that covers the side sill.
