Anyone else have the problem where the transmission makes a hard shift randomly? It's almost as if the car "knocks/jolts" on its own. This has happened to me about 5 times or so in the first 6,000 miles of ownership. When this happens it's usually at 30-40mph or lower. I have an automatic transmission with tiptronic. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Unfortunately this happens randomly so it can't be replicated on demand.

You in sport mode or drive? I usually drive in sport mode and it definately happens to me.

usually in regular mode and exactly as you cited...when you let off the gas it knocks/bumps

My wife drives in regular mode and she notices it also.

Not sure about any other strange tip behavior. I just try not to confuse mine too much :)

buddy had his tranny computer re-flashed on his 2005.5 A4 and it took care of his issues.
