I frequently transport my two delightful kiddies in my 05 a4. Now and then it occurs to me that the back seat area is quite small and the trunk not much bigger and I wonder how the vehicle would fare in a rear end collision. I know this car is safe but can anyone relate a real world crash experience with the A4? I feel far safer in this car than I ever did in my Hondas, but being a dad has changed my thinking about a lot of things.

but damage wasnt bad at all. Dude hit me in an M45 in my a4 and if you stood 5' away you could not tell it was hit. His car did have some noticable damage.

Other than that, and im not saying this because I drive Audis. Its one of the things I noticed driving my first one as to the all around build quality is that I feel very safe in this car. So much that when I drive in My friends scion XB I get scared in it. srsly.

20 feet into the car in front of me. He had been tailgating me for miles and when we came up on traffic - slammed into the back at about 40 mph. I was surprised with the strength of that little car but I was so mad I wanted to knock the careless driver out. Audi safety is amazing.

Even their smaller models hold up extremely well. Also consider a smaller car is sometimes more nimble and manuverable (avoiding an accident or hazard) than a larger car. That is a safety feature in itself.
