Does anyone know if financees are legally 'owner' of the car or could be considered agent of the finance company by Audi?

The financing company has a security interest in your car. With a lease, the leasing company owns the car, and you rent it from them.

...but I don't get to drive it on the Autobahn (it would sure beat the 90hp Mercedes I rented the last time I was over--instead of thinking "this driving experience is really cool" I was thinking "this driving experience is really dangerous").
