Has any driven the new MB CLK550? Need a review/thoughts if anyone has. Obviously, there is the large increase in power. Does it feel much faster than it's older brother, the CLK500? Have had a 430 and a 500, but am just curious to hear some thoughts on the 550. I am driving one this weekend, so please inform me of any pros/cons if you have indeed driven one. TIA!

Google is your friend?

I like the exterior styling and the true "hardtop" coupe design, but the interior was really cramped, and no manual (huge downer, though the 7 speed wasn't too bad) and no quattro so no snowboard road trips meant no dice.

I'm sure the CLK550 will be very fast and look terribly outdated next year when MB introduces its replacement.

I've tried google...most of the reviews are completely Mercedes biased, so there are "no gripes with the car!"...it's terrible.

I wasn't trying to sound like a wise ass, I just thought that Google might be a better resource than AW.

Try posting on OT later for the evening/night crew.

an improvement over the aging 5.0 engine. The new 5.5L cars are blasting to 60 in close to 5 seconds whereas it use to be 6 seconds. 302hp/339tq to 382hp/391tq, a nice sizeable increase in power.

MB quality has gone up since the late 90s and earlier 2000s. Lot less problems than before, thats for sure.

I recommend going over to MBWorld.org and checking it out. Great forum and tons of info there.

My father in-law has the new S550 and that thing is a monster considering the size of the car.
