but get rid of a sensor. I want to put my testpipe on tommorow, but my shop can't do a reflash until. next week. I know the car will throw a code, but is it actually bad if i don't get the new coding?
thanks

You will throw a code, eventually. But they your shop will just reset it when they upgrade you to stage II. APR may (I do not Know) run more boost with tehir Stage II software. But you can definitely use the pipe on a stock or Stage I car as long as you can live with the CEL.

Installed my test pipe this weekend, been driving it. Yes, I do have a CEL, but it runs absolutely fine. I am getting it flashed this week, but would be okay driving as-is if I had to.

If OEM exhaust, how does it sound? What chip are you getting - I hope Revo. What did you feel the performance improvements were?

I'll be going APR, sorry to disappoint. Milltek exhaust. My car is a tip, so it's a dp back exhaust. I guess similiar to your thermal, in that it uses the stock dp (flex) pipe. I definitely agree with you about not losing much by changing out that pipe, btw. Sound is good, not too loud at all. Very deep and a rumble under throttle.

Does sound like a school bus during cold start, though, lol.

Sorry if I sound like a noob trading in my B5 S4 in one hour for an Ibis White 6speed S-Line :)

Test pipes retain all the OEM sensors. It is the software that fools the sensors into not throwing a code. I do not know how they do that.

Although the Passenger airbag light will be lonely once again, lol.

I am definitely looking forward to getting rid of the light.
