Business has been pretty good.

My less frugal side thought about giving in to my S4 envy.
An RS4 crossed my mind, but the payment would be just plain wasteful. I'd rather buy some dirt in North Carolina or Tennessee (or anything that might actually appreciate, lol)

Has anyone actually gone to the dealer with their leased A4 Sline and found out what it would cost to de-horse from the A4 lease into an equally equipped S4?

If it's a couple G's + another couple hundred a month.......hmmmmmmm

Part of me wants to hold out for the B8, and I'm really curious about a B8 RS4...

You can wait for the B8, sure, it'll come in 2008, probably mid/late 2008. That's still a way out. And even so, you'll probably start to see rumours of the next B9 platform, so you can always wait for that 'right' vehicle. B8 RS4 won't show up until at least ~1-2 years after the B8 has been released so now you're looking at 2009/2010.

Here is some of my mind dump:

S4 is only slightly faster than chipped A4, though it has nice seats.

S4 should lease for about $800 per month. So substantially more then A4.

A4 can be upgraded with KO4 turbo.

DPs, Exhaust and chip should add about 30 to 40 HP to the S4.

My wife would kill me.

Needless to say, I still have the A4 instead of the S4.
