I have decided that I shall get the Audi A4 3.2Q MT over the BMW 330xi. Now I am faced with a personal delema. I am thinking of either silver or quartz for the color. I have had black autos in the past and they take a lot of time to keep looking nice. They also have a tendance to show imperfections, door dings etc more. I want the black interior but am not sure about the trim. Burl walnut or aluminum. Burl looks classy, aluminim sporty (nice in a black car though) How well does each trim type hold up to say rub marks and scratches etc? Also, thinking about getting the s-line (yes I know it only has the aluminum trim) but not a true fan of all the special bading just like the trunk, door fins etc. I am not sure about the stiffer suspension though. I am going to drive one today to see if I like the handling. Comments on if it is worth the money. I am not one to really mod my autos.. ok tires and rims thats about it.

I was not a fan of any of the stock wheels that were offered on the base model, so I opted for the S-line package. I think it is great looking, and the interior has just enough aluminum to keep it from looking bland. So far, no issues with anything scracthing. A lot of dust settles around the gearshift, which is also aluminum. I think that is the part you have to be the most careful with.

Good choice over the 3 series. The added torque and reliable quattro more than make up for the differences.

Personally, I'd go with Quartz over the Silver, although both look fantastic with the S-line. I recently chose the Dolphin Grey on my S-line that gives the silver rims greater contrast, not to mention that the aluminum interior really balances out the black leather. So far, I've had no problems with either dust/dirt (there's plenty of it in Houston) or dings...they blend in quite nicely with the dark grey.

Sounds like you would do well w/o the S Line Package
choose your interior
choose to have sport suspention
and buy the rims you really want to have
save or sell your org rims
