The 1.8 was just a great motor and the 2.0 sounded even better. Problem is, the A4 has gotten pricey since I purchased mine new for $25K. I knew I would miss the quattro but I have been testing the A3 and even going to look at the new VW GTI. But then, I'm looking at eBay and what do I see:

Could this be true? 2000 miles, S-line, every other option package you could think of, like new condition at the Audi dealership that sold it new, and we know you lose $5K in depreciation the day you drive off the lot. The auction goes to a no sale at $29K. I call the dealer, apparently the first owner's wife decided she didn't want a stick any longer and the car was traded in so I throw $31K at him expecting to be laughed at and he comes back with $33K!!! We settle at $32K!!! And this car stickered at almost $40K. $500 for shipping and she showed up at my house a week ago as beautiful as could be hoped. I love eBay.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;rd=1,1&amp;item=4610235571&amp;sspa gename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;rd=1,1&amp;item=4610235571&amp;sspa gename=STRK%3AME

Are you going to get another set of wheels and tires for the snow or are you going to try to find some all seasons to fit on the stock 18's?

I went through the same sticker shock when looking at an 06 from my 00. Ridiculous.

I'll look for some 16"s and get snows for them. Then I'll leave the 18"s in the basement for the winter. The car won't look as good but at least I won't have to worry about the snow.

Well done,

I wish they were that cheap in UK, I paid ?22k for my new 1.9tdi (almost as exciting as a tractor).

Maybe I should move over to your side of the pond.
