Rock got my fog light dead on this weekend....broke it....I was very suprised to see it is glass...and very thick glass at that. I would say about a half inch...anyway....the ****ty part is, when you get the part from Audi...its not just the simple glass...its the assembly that goes around the light...rather complex when you can see in there....anyway...the part costs 99.31...and apparently I am not the only one to experence this...as they are back ordered....

Figured I would share....

The fog light on my wife's Maxima got a rock chip/hole in it a few weeks after buying the car. It looked like the glass was shot with a BB gun, there was a 1/2" crater with a 1/8" hole in the center.

I bought a DIY whindshield repair kit at WalMart for $10 and patched the hole.

It's been three years now and you would have to crawl on the ground and look very closely to tell which lens was repaired.

Only complaints thus far is the fog lamps burn to hot in long traffic line ups and burn a brown spot on the said Stone Guard ~.125 thk. The Headlamp cover was a perfect fit. The Door Handle Finger Cup film ~.005 thk has been replaced once as well, due to dirt/grime getting under the edge. It's covered under the installer warranty though as long as I own the car.
