Could someone help me understand what this means? TIA

2.0T "X" and "Sport" chip options now available for all models.

Date: 03/3/2006

The latest "X" chip that has been so popular for the A3, Golf, Jetta and Passat 2.0T Transverse engines is now fully released for the Audi B7 A4 2.0T as well. This program will ask for and get 2350 mil. bar of absolute pressure in the low to mid range. This B7 A4 "X" program is compatible with completely stock cars that have all factory rail pumps. If upgrading to a turbo back exhaust, customers should upgrade to the current factory fuel pump part, which ends in letter "F", to run the "X" program.

http://www.giacusa.com/news1.php?newsid=43</a

it means that if you have a "B pump" there are no issues with performance. It also means that the comparison done a little while back with all the chips is null.

I did some logging the other day, albeit it wasn't the best of runs b/c of traffic, they were correct on the 2350m bar and the fueling is perfect.

They should be posting a dyno vs. APR where they (GIAC) were slightly adhead in power gains.

This X chip is so much better than the first chip GIAC released...

You haven't given any indication as to what the underlying issue is.

before changing anything. It's definitely worth the purchase. Perhaps when Revo comes out with it's stock switching you can bring your car to the dealer. cheers! Mike

when i had the car at Chris (from PD performance) he told be its a fuel related thing.

It first came up and the JAN meet (before REVO)
then again 2 days after revo. I took it to my dealer and he said it was contaminated, but said that they cant replace it because they couldnt find the part so they cleared it off vag. It came back 3 days later. Then chris fixed it for the last meet, and it came back on the trip from the meet (granted i was doing some crazy speeds).

it should all be clear after tomorrow, hopefully.
