Anyone had a B6 and upgraded to B7? Is there a noticeable difference between the two cars? Any advise or things to consider?

but overall it's like night and day in terms of power. A test drive should be convincing enough.

It's not just the power. The 2.0 likes to rev, the steering is more accurate, the brakes are worlds better... it's a great upgrade.

I've had a full day of driving w/ APR programming. It's very fast, now. Gas milage stays the same if you can stop lead footing it! I pass people so quickly now, and since I'm debadged with the Sline package, I've got a poor man's S4.

This is the old car - don't have any of the new car yet! Maybe that's saying something :), but to me the new aggressive look is very cool. Right now I've only debadged it and tinted the windows, so I haven't felt a need to snap a pic. It's a silver 05.5 sedan, manual quattro with all the options except cold weather (though S-line wasn't available on 05.5's, so it's got the split 5-spoke 17's with sport suspension). I need bigger wheels and some door blades to complete the look I want, but the new grille is probably my favorite part. Sat-nav doesn't hurt either ;)
Better go snap some pics today...

I went from an 02 1.8t sedan with stage 1+ apr to a now stage1 2.0t avant s-line -- well worth it... its a whole new world... ;) well kinda

The new car has better standard power than a stage 1 chipped 1.8T, better suspension (although I went from standard to sport, so my impression is skewed), and the brakes are significantly better.

Also, and this was of interest to me, but with the B6, you couldn't get every feature with the 1.8T that you could with the 3.0, like bright trim and power passenger seat. You can with the 2.0T. A big deal? Probably not, but it's nice to be able to get a well-equipped car with the base engine, which I wanted over the 3.2.

But much more expensive.

Here are some (not so good) pics for comparison

but my wife tought it was silly enough having two A4 Avants... Having both in practically the same color was out of the question. Since I couldn't swing the special order Imola (I wanted that SO bad), I "settled" on black.

Red wagons in stick are cool.

I feel ya. I did the APR chip, down-pipe, cat back exhaust and K&N filter all in a 2 week period. 80 feels like slow-mo. Any other suggestions on reasonable upgrades?

i'd take a chance of waiting or would have to order me one. black is beautiful, i kinda needed to change up the color this time.
