Yes, you can order that color..I have contacts that can make it happen..yes, it costs more...and takes longer.

I asked about getting mine done in Hibiscus Red (to match the 2000 car I had), but since it's no longer in the color palette, I couldn't.

Regards,
Joel

Don't think Nogaro is in the current color palette, but you could get Sprint blue and that would be hot too.

black interior would work well with that color

Why not a 2.0T?

Just went thru a round of issues with my dealer. If I get 250 bhp out of the chute...I am already up there a decent amount. Getting the 2.0T and chipping it would get 240..but I would have issues with the dealer...you know how it can be.

Better resale value and the killer exhaust note. Definitely worth it IMO, but then I'm totally biased :-)

But then again I'm just an old fart. Sounds like a GREAT car to me. What color interior are you thinking?

I'm new around here, and to Audis, so I'm obviously not tuned in to the pulse of this group yet...

but my experience of test driving both engines was, "why would anyone want the 2.0T?".. The 3.2 is more powerful, smoother, much quieter (lots of odd noises from the 2.0), and the exhaust note *is* awesome. Other than the extra $$ and a little extra weight, what's not to like?

Drove both the 3.2 and 2.0 several times...

Unless you are planning on chipping...the 3.2 is much better IMOP.

The speed, better response at all speeds and engine noise make it one of the best engines I test drove...it is a refined, smooth and powerful...can't go wrong...

If you want to chip and save some money get the 2.0...very nice also...but no 3.2..as far as stock is concerned. Just me 2 cents..good luck

The 3.2 has more power available more of the time, period. The result is better performance in the majority of regular driving situations, not necessarily just drag (and bench, hehe) racing.

Not to mention considerably more smoothness.

and it was honestly like 2.5 times the upgrade to metallic paint... but that was when nogaro was in the lineup... i assume its more now...

so i don't remember exactly but it was like flat black was free, metallic paint was like 400 and custom color in the product line was like 1200... which isn't bad at all

Have you driven a chipped 2.0T? It has BOATLOADS of torque (over 50 lb-ft more than a 3.2) from ~2000 to ~4500rpm. The car is also geared nicely to keep the engine in this powerband...

Its like you think youre a tuner or somethin... :-P

Tom, you got a graph of the power band on the 2.0T?

but I was told it had to be whatever color Audi currently has. I wanted Amulet Red, and could have done it for 2500 bucks, since it was still available on TT's. (This was as of August 2005.) Wound up not doing it. A Nogaro would definitely be worth the extra bucks, hope you get it...

As for the 3.2 vs 2.0T issue... I chose the 3.2 because I didn't want to chip (and even if I did couldn't find a 2.0T quattro when I was shopping), love the 3.2 engine sounds, love the instant power.

A 2.0T chipped @ 91 octane (all we get in socal) will be very close in 0-60 and 1/4 to a 3.2. But it sounds like you might have to find a new dealer for service to go that route.

Much more power on a chipped 2.0T. These are quattro wheel ratings...
