The lowest the dealer would go was $36413 for a demo car and I thought that was ridiculous. I called a different Audi dealership out of state and they essentially offered me the same price for a brand new car with a few miles on it. Its weird that the dealership with the demo car would not offer a good deal on it since it was a used car that was most probably not broken in properly.

Unfortunately all of the dealerships were in the same ballpark for the trade in value of my A6. The plan now is to try selling it privately and still trying for a better deal on the A4.

If anyone has any recommendations on dealerships to try for good deals, please let me know. I was willing to take a 2005(.5) but none of the dealerships that I tried seem to have any.

Original Topic

Classic Audi in Eastchester, NY may well give you a better deal at both ends. They might be worth your consideration for one reason: their service facility is in Fleetwood (border of East Yonkers and Mt. Vernon), 1/2 block from the Metro North Harlem line station - so it is very accessible if that line goes anywhere you normally do (I work in Manhattan so it is great). Also, the service dept. is open Saturday AM's. So far I am pleased with Classic - the trip to their sales facility on Rte. 22 in Eastchester may be out of the way, but still might be worth it. Just a thought.
