It should be a pretty basic option... stanj 01-03-2006, 11:40 PM If the cute warning for washer fluid comes up, you have a sensor. All A4s since 1999.5 (and all with trip computer 97 and newer) had such a sensor, regardless of other options. Tanner 01-04-2006, 04:31 AM Which has been replaced by the technology package, but as stanj and Jestnomen said, you should have it. pete872 01-04-2006, 05:09 AM needs a lesson in Audi features! Batey's 6speed Turbo 01-04-2006, 12:41 PM I have an 06 with Premium and sunroof only and I dont have one, totally ran out, and no light like on either of my dads S4's, B5 and B6. I think its a load of crap not to have that standard. Anyone else have this problem. RichAA 01-04-2006, 12:47 PM Mine's a 2005.5, with Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, Lighting, and Bose XM High-mileage Quartz Gray/Platinum stanj 01-04-2006, 02:27 PM There's a difference between no sensor and broken sensor. If you press Check and it shows a washer warning, you have the sensor - maybe not a functional one. On my previous S4 I got the warning when I heard the pump running on air, which somewhat limited the usefulness. artrutledge 12-11-2006, 01:26 PM well not ALL are so equiped I have a 2006 A4 Avant and it has no sensors, and no coresponding harness for the wahser fluid level. Audi has streamlined their manufacturing and ONLY puts in the harness and connectors for the options as the car left the factory. This means (and is very sobering) that each car has a unique harness. For example my car came with cruise control, but no DIS (trip copmuter) the controler for the CC contains the trip computer (good news) but there is no sensor or harness for the washer fluid level(bad news), which is part of the package that has the trip computer. so i can enable the trip computer by retrofitting thre proper wiper stalk and vag-ing the steering wheel, and instrument cluster. but i get an anoying washer fluid level warning, without a convenient way to disable it! |
