I have 2.0T Quattro with sports package (245/45-17 and 17x7.5 stock setting). Will going to 235/40-18 and 18x8 +35mm setting close the wheel well gap more or will it stay the same?

I think stock offset is +42 mm.

By fender gap I mean the distance from the top of the tire to the fender lip.
