The salesmen there (not the Porsche guys, those guys are cool) are the biggest group of sleazeballs I've ever met. They lied to me repeatedly and tried pulling every low move in the book.

They told me on the phone that the B7 model I was looking for was on the lot. When I went by to pick it up, they said the car was gone and then they conveniently tried to sell me another one. When I told them that I knew exactly what I was looking for, the pleaded for me to have a seat so they could search California for what I wanted. When their search allegedly came up empty, they AGAIN tried to sell me the one I did not want. 5 minutes after I left their lot, I phoned Stevens Creek Audi in San Jose and they told me they had what I wanted (B7 2.0T 6 speed Quartz Grey). The negotiations were short and sweet and they ppl were cordial and friendly.

Bottom line, I will never patronize Audi of Oakland because those guys do not know how to run a business. Especially one that is reputable like Audi. If you live in the Bay Area, go to Stevens Creek San Jose, they'll treat you the way Audi customers should be treated.

Interesting, because when I first test drove a 2005, they told me on the phone they had a 3.0 CVT and sure enough they did. However, the route was short and I didn't get a warm fuzzy from the sales guy. I'll be picking my 2.0 up from the one in Menlo Park (Santa Clara? I dunno; I'm not a South Bayer) week of May 9.

who were you working with there? I've leased 2 audi's in the last 3 years from them, and there are several very good people there.
