With the recent (Feb 28th) purchase of the A4 2.0T quattro 6MT I am glad to join the Audi 'family' and this forum.

SO far I am really happy with my new toy...there is only one thing that I need to change ASAP - the sound system.
I am really particular about the quality of sound and I am really dissatisfied with Audi's stock system.
Do you guys have any info or know how to get it to make my project of replacing head unit and installing sub with amp easier?
I will probably want to do speakers as well. But hope that for now new HU and sub will cure the obvious shortfalls.

well, let me ask more specific questions.
I know my stock has an active sub. Could I just disconnect that one and install my own sub with an amp via the same wire? (I am assuming the stock sub has an amp build in right in the woofer so that the Line In is already there)

And how about those after-market DVD/Nav systems?
They look the same size as what would fit in the space where my current stock system is.....is that correct?
