I don't know if this was available on the B6 (it wasn't on my B5) but...when you go to get in the passing lane and need to signal, just push down slightly on the turn signal, it flashes 3 times and then automatically turns itself off. Those Germans think of everything.

There's also some nice storage drawers under the front seats

feature that is fairly common on domestic market german cars...

I've wondered if it can be retrofitted to my B5..... hmmmmmm

I wish every car had this... it might promote signalling lane changes...

I actually dislike it because if you accidentally flip it the wrong way, if you overreact without waiting for it to finish, you'll end up like that "ball" in pong trapped between two paddles. . . .

it can be turned off with VAG-COM. I find it annoying because sometimes you signal, set out to move over, and then realize that ooops, someone is already there (or moving in from a different lane). Now it is possible to stop the blinking by actually locking the turn signal and then turning it off, but in the heat of the moment I have other things on my mind. If you leave the car to its own devices and let it finish flashing it can be quite confusing to the other drivers.

Spoken as someone who actually signals =)

Now..the annoying bell that rings when you just sit in your car..THAT has got to be VAGGED out.

Yup, my wife's Seat Ibiza 1.9TDi Sport has it too, so do most Skodas...it's a VAG thing :)

Didn't you learn in drivers' ed that you're supposed to look FIRST, THEN signal? :-)

In L.A. traffic where people don't respect a signal to change lanes, you often activate the 3-blink thing only to see someone has already stole your space. Now it can't be turned off and said person becomes paranoid you are still going to enter in. Not good.
