I just got an '05 A4 "ultrasport" with the aluminum interior trim. Although I love the sporty outside, I prefer wood trim inside. Anyone want to upgrade? All Parts snap on and off easily. E-mail me.

View Full Version : Free Upgrade To Aluminun, Anyone want to trade??? QuattroCruzin 02-01-2005, 01:47 PM I just got an '05 A4 "ultrasport" with the aluminum interior trim. AlexTTQ 02-01-2005, 01:59 PM Javan 02-01-2005, 02:44 PM "Sorry for the delay. I have order guides but no pricing. Rumor has it 1500 more than the B6 platform. Cars expected by months end. Let me know if other questions. You can order a car for 500 over dealers invoice." --------------- Hmmmm. . . . AlexTTQ 02-01-2005, 03:32 PM Javan 02-01-2005, 03:38 PM My post was a quote from a dealer to me. Insider thoughts? AlexTTQ 02-02-2005, 09:24 AM they are able to stay in business... Damn... Javan 02-02-2005, 10:41 AM I appreciate your insight, being in the trade, but with this all being done by internet, $500 + whatever dealer holdbacks, incentives, or whatnot Audi has, why not? It's really little more resources than faxing over a form and processing my credit. They can make the $500+ and increase sales relative to everyone else or they can say, pay us MSRP and lose the sale. Maybe I'm dim, but. . . . Turbosport 02-02-2005, 11:18 AM you're gettin lucky RXBG 02-02-2005, 12:13 PM maybe that dealer is almost out of B6s. i'm getting 3.5% over invoice. not as good but better than paying MSRP.... Javan 02-02-2005, 12:41 PM I made it clear I want a b7. I wouldn't consider a b6 under any circumstances. Turbosport 02-02-2005, 12:46 PM I can tell you without hesitation that they as a company do not believe in holdback. As for incentives, it doesn't make sense that they would offer dealers incentives to sell a brand new car...in the company's eyes, the car should sell itself cause it's the latest and greatest...I'm not saying that the deal he was offered is bogus, but he's either lucky or the dealer is low-balling him.... Turbosport 02-02-2005, 12:47 PM not sure that the B7 is a better looking car though...and the interior is the same...any particular reason you didn't want a b6? Javan 02-02-2005, 02:25 PM (I don't know how a seller lowballs a buyer) -------- The engine alone is sufficient, but the engineering appears to be better, it offers map-GPS, and it generally appears that you can get a wider range of options. Plus, I like the new look. RXBG 02-02-2005, 02:43 PM nickel4490 02-02-2005, 03:09 PM The navigation system is all I need to say!!! Turbosport 02-03-2005, 05:28 AM i'm not real worried bout nav though...i got a nav system that plugs into my PDA, which is a bit more portable and offers the same features as most nav systems out there (with a large enough SD card, i can fit most of the country, it's got voice prompts, a map, etc. etc.) and the screen on my PDA isn't much smaller than the screen you'd find on an OEM system...regardless, great choice...the B7 looks like it'll be a sweet car AlexTTQ 02-03-2005, 07:46 AM There won't be anything special for when this car comes out. I believe that it will still have rather low rates if you want to lease this car (this is Audi's bread and butter and the rates cannot be too high if they expect to sell this car!), but there never was holdback on any Audis. There were at times "cash incentives" but this was onlyto get rid of a last year model. Seeing how all dealers are getting real short on B6 I doubt that this time there will be anything to help dealers get rid of them or it will be minimal. Also with a strong Euro Vs $ it would not make sense for Audi to put incentives on these cars. That is why Audi cut down production on: A8, S4, A6 4.2, TT and cabs. Less cars in dealers, less chance of incentives based sales. Plus an incentive based sell of a new car will not do anything to help it retain its value. You seem to have been pretty lucky. There is only a 4-5% mark up on these cars so 3.5% is pretty close to M.S.R.P and without any pricing so far well, they can say anything they want. You'll get an awesome car though; mine is on its way too!! Javan 02-04-2005, 09:09 AM This is what the dealer told me: "I can offer such a great deal because we are an exclusive Audi dealer. Plus I get paid on volume, it's all about the numbers of cars I sell." ------------- Ironically last night, I met up with 2 friends who both have Audi's. One was a 2004 1.8T manual. Nice, but not a b7. ;-> The other was a 2002 a6. Nice to drive, but too big for me. Going to put my order and deposit in today. Financing will most likely be 60 mos @ 4.9% so I might just dump it on my equity line. Ahh, the benefits of home ownership in San Francisco. RxAudi 02-05-2005, 11:38 PM Do you mind letting us know the dealer and contact info? I'd be very interested in working out a similar deal as I'm in SF too. Thank you in advance! jgrevich 04-22-2005, 09:45 AM "Cars expected by months end. Let me know if other questions. You can order a car for 500 over dealers invoice." How do you order a car at only $500 over dealer's invoice? Thanks, justin |
