I am placing an order and need to show my dealer they have more than 4 colors available. Thanks!

They know they have other colors available. However, there is a fee for the color choices at this point.

I asked for a quote on Panther Pearl a color apparently commonly avail in Europe -- not anything you would imagine would justify more than $500.

Gulp: $2500 upcharge.

I purchased Pearl White on an A8 for $950 and I saw a recent vintage A6 (not an '05) with Pearl White and it was $1250.

But no green, for example? What is up with these few choices?

My guess is that the May placed orders will broaden considerably the choices.

Does this mean that if I ordered a new B7 A4 the first working day of May, that I would be able to order a Goodwood Green Metallic A4 3.2 w/6spd manual, all options (including SLine?) and that it would be designated as MY 2006?

Do we yet know if the 2006 flavor will add "smart key" (new BMW 3 series just announced with this, for what it is worth) and voice command for the nav system, like the A6?

I enjoy my voice command 2003 allroad with On*Star and noted that the Audi lineup was slated to get a new command recognition program that would allow the dialing of a phone number by saying the entire number at once, rather than my version's sequential demands.

Just wondering.

Oh, and one more thing, there used to be an option in the Audi 4000, 80/90 and at least once in the A4 lineup for "sport seats" (other than in an S4), is this yet available (or is it ONLY an SLine feature)?

Thanks.

Love your web site, BTW.

Most likely we won't see it until fall of 2005 along with the S-Line Package.
I will say that we will know more around June/ July of 2005 regarding these options.
At the same time, Bluetooth and Voice recognition (CD, NAV, RADIO and PHONE) will be available on the A4.
The A3 will have it starting may I believe.
OnStar has been discontinued because of lack of Interest. The Voice Recognition for the phone is actually better than the one for Onstar.
You can say the whole number at once, but do it not too fast. :)
Not sure about the Sport Seats; too early to tell, but they may be part of the S-Line package.
As for the Smart Key, no news either on that.

Yes, please make the sport seats part of the S-Line. That's exactly what I'm waiting for. (In case anyone from AoA happens to be reading this.)

There are some skinny people you know in North America like me that HATE the non-sport seats..... :)

The rumour I heard about the S-line package is that, while it is already available in Germany, this package wouldn't be introduced to North America until fall of 2005?

Along with Bluetooth and Voice Recognition.

guess I'll look at extending my lease or drive something temporarily until the fall.

I noticed that the equipment/option list came out and I read this:

12-way sporty power front driver seat

in the option list. Does anybody know exactly what these "sporty" seats are and if they are similar to the ones in Europe and/or the old power seats of the B5 albeit with power now?

But there are wide (or wider) assed people like me who love the sport seats and hate (or dislike) the non sport seats, too.
