Hi all, long time no post. I use to have 99.5 A4 2.8 quattro. I now have a '03 Subaru WRX. I really wanted the then newly designed A4, but the V6 was out of my price range and the 1.8T lacked the power I wanted. I recall saying back then if Audi would just give the 1.8T at least 200 HP I'd be interested.

Well, they have my attention now with 2.0T. Along with the new sheet metal which I think looks great in the pictures. I can not wait to see it in person.

It's going to be a hard decision as to whether I should wait until the WRX is paid off (less than 3 years to go) and have the it as my 2nd car, or if I should trade it in early.

While the WRX has great power, I slightly miss the phenominal interior's Audi is known for. In addition, I miss sound deadening for highway driving. I'll be checking here often when the time comes and look forward to seeing pictures and impressions from new owners.

Mike

P.S. I see my old sig is still intact... that was a nightmare ;-)

...and as stupid as this sounds I could not get over the crappy seats. My 99.5 had better side bolsters.

After driving one I knew that the suspension was improved and the interior was standard Audi (read excellent).

The B7 exterior is growing on me and the seats look like they're improved -

We'll see : )

They had it for the B5, then they no longer brought it over for the B6. Sat in the sport seats in the C6 A6 from Germany and they are wonderful. One guy here in Ontario was able to get sport seats in his B6 A4 but took months of effort arguing with AOA.

Voice your complaint to AOA via their website... I did and they actually called me.

From what I gathered with talking to this customer rep guy, Germany has final say in what comes over. Still skeptical on that and rather believe that Audi is trying to make as much money in the NA market and making the AUdi a more of a "premium" brand. But then Audi wants to remain attractive as a sporty brand too so what gives with the sport seats is what I say!

we should start a club;-) miss the sound deadening a bit too, when I press the throttle it helps me forget.

Most likely going back to german too for next car.
