plus, I had surgery on my shoulder in mid October so I couldn't drive it for at least 2 months then my wife had a baby in December and couldn't drive (c-section) for a few weeks so I used her truck until the end of December. I figured I would have sold it by the time I really needed to use it but I've been so busy w/ work and home that I never seem to have the time to advertise it properly and put the effort in to sell it. Now, winter's basically over so there's no need anymore. I can just take the wife's vehicle for the day if I need to.

Lesson learned though, if I have another car that would need snow tires I'll buy them way in advance and if I don't end up using them I can always sell them!!

We were skiing that weekend. Drove up from LA with my summer tires hoping the snow would mostly be on the slopes. Well, the snow was EVERYWHERE! Everyone else was getting pulled over to slap on chains but not me. Call me an idiot but I just went slowly and broke early and often. Seemed to work well. You can see that it was a total white out. The car got a white butt when I backed it a bit too far into a snow bank as you can see here:

You can see that the snow was causing problems for some. This Jeep ran off the road and had to be dug out. Me, I kept my distance, accellerated smoothly and paid close attention to the grip. I found going downhill a little scary. Engine braking seemed to provide more effective braking than ABS.

This is the car at the base of the mountain after a couple of hours of skiing (amazing powder skiing I might add). It didn't get stuck once, not even a hint of getting stuck. I always had grip on 2 or more wheels. I was pretty impressed to say the least given the amount of snow.

P.S. Been a while since I posted here!

I took my truck up instead of the S, I was surprised nobody slid into me, it was funny/sad watching people try to drive in those conditions...

That pic was taken before I drove. The other pic was of my tracks. The car with those tires have amazing traction. I slam the gas, the car flies. I slam the break, the car stops on a dime. It was awesome.

The road restrictions made it so everyone had to have chains unless you had 4 wheel drive with snow tires. There's no way in hell I'm putting chains on my beautiful car.
