Or better yet - can anyone post a Bentley diagram of the front driver's door? I need to remove the panels to try to find the source of a rattle and don't want to screw it up!

Thanks in advance!

I don't remember what direction it is, but once it is off there are several screws you must remove. Then there should be some more screws hidden by a removable panel by the door handle somewhere. I think after that you must pull at the bottom of the door to pop off the clips then lift up.

Obviously these are not directions to actually try this by, just wanted to give you a feel for what is involved. I have taken off my door panels on all four doors of my old B6 several times.

But I think I will need more explicit instructions before I attempt it. :-)

And I was wrong about sliding the trim, it just pops off. Scary I know, that is what I thought when I did it but it is just secured by clips.

Start on the left side of the trim (when facing drivers side, right when facing passenger side) using both hands, one at the edge lifting up and the other several inches to the right and pull up slowly. It should pop out and once you see how it is clipped in you can confidently remove the rest, but obviously don't pull from the corner, move your hand closer to the clips as you pull.

Do some searching on here and and Iam sure you will find some more instructions and pics. Here is a pic of me and someone at waterfest who helped me get the door off because I was scared to do it myself, lol. http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/33354/doorpanel.jpg

http://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/959530.phtml</a
