After the dealer finally got the transmission issue in my car straightened out, I've decided to part ways with my '08 S4, my third since '01. I have tried to bond with this car, but just can't get there. So, after working closely with my dealer and with AoA, a deal was struck for me to trade the S4 in on a new Audi. Both worked very hard to keep me with the brand, and I was treated very well. I considered a new S5, but availability is so limited and pricing prohibitive. So, I've really changed directions. You can see the TTR I've just ordered in my sig. Obviously, a very different car than what I've been driving. Anyway, it'll take 2-3 months to get the TT, but after that will be checking in periodically with the board.

No limits on usage. Obviously, if the car had more than normal wear and tear, or was damaged when turned in, there would be financial consequences. But, all in all, a deal I feel good about. If I hadn't had the issues with the S4 tranny up front, I wouldn't have even thought about changing cars - I would have just been able to enjoy my S4.

I'm not a big guy. But I always felt like I was driving a small car that handled like a bigger car when I drove my daughter's TT coupe. Neat car, but just too small for me to use as a daily driver. I would have to believe that you would make out better financially going to another Audi than changing makes. Now you're in for another wait. No Northern Blue?

last I remember you got it back after the sheared bolts, but then you started having trouble with notchiness/difficulty engaging 1st. was that ever resolved?

to my satisfaction anyway. AoA agreed, and took the necessary steps to keep me in a new Audi.

Last time I ordered a custom color, it took 6 months to get the car. With the S-line, only black interior is available, and the Ice Silver went beautfifully with it. Sure the car is small, but my kids are grown, I'm all of 5' 7" and when I test drove it, it just felt right. Now the wait begins again, but I can drive the S4 until the new car is in with no $$$$ penalty. A very reasonable deal.

I'm sorry to laugh but you keep special ordering (which takes forever) the same Audi only to sell it months later... I can't imagine the depreciation you have been hit with for the 1000 miles between both cars.....

plus I get to drive it for the next 3 months waiting for the TTR to arrive - at no financial penalty. This car was never right, so I was willing to take a hit. AoA has been great and has made this deal work for me. I'm anxious for the TT! I would say, unequivocally, that my S4 days are over.

which is why I did it. The S4 has just left me cold, so I opted to try to find an Audi that was fun and felt good to drive. Nothing else in their lineup appealed to me. Last thing I wanted was another S4 (at least a B7 after my experience). AoA knew that the car was just not right from delivery, saw that I had purchased 10 Audis previously, and did what they needed to do to keep me satisfied, and remain brand loyal. And yes, Audi WG was wonderful to work with - they got my repeat business - for the fourth time.
