If I buy an S4 that is pre-wired for XM Sat Radio and I want to have Sirius (which I already have in my other car) in it, can I just swap out the boxes in the back? do you know what the cost is of doing that?
Thanks. I am looking at an S4 Avant now with XM and I am curious if I can change it over.

The satellite radio box is specifically made for our cars, for instance they make two types of XM boxes for our cars, one for RNS-E and the other for symphony. You must find the right one for your car. The parts are as follows for b7.
Sirius for Symphony II/Concert II:
Part No. 8E0 057 593
XM for Symphony II/Concert II:
Part No. 8E0 057 593A
Sirius for RNS-E and/or with tire pressure monitoring system:
Part No. 8E0 057 593D
XM for RNS-E and/or with tire pressure monitoring system:
Part No. 8E0 057 593E
The prices for new boxes are ~$500. The XM and Sirius are swappable, all you do is go into your trunk, open up the small compartment on the left side of the trunk, at the top there should be a small black door, when you pry open the door you should see a small box, this is your satellite radio box, pull the cables off and reconnect with your new satellite radio.

I do not think there is a conversion for me to XM.

Ebay sells them for $175 - $250. Or the dealership sells them for around $500.00. The dealership can tell you which part number you need. I have a B7 S4 w/ XM that i would be willing to swap for Sirius.
