Since this topic comes up at least once a day (Archives, anyone?), can someone with the H4 and old stock H7 put one old light back in and take a picture of the light pattern on a wall (in the dark) with the car about 10 feet away? One picture with the lows and one with the brights?
This would help the forum a bunch and we could add it to the faq. Interested persons could do the same with the blue vs stock. We don't need to do it with the all-weathers (anyone want to buy mine?), since they suck.
Any takers?

Quick question: how easy is it to replace the stock H7s and H1s that come with the stock A4? My lights suck big time and I want to replace the bulbs wiht brighter ones. If I can find out how, I'll be more than happy to take before/after pics. Email pls.

Just a cheap suggestion - before totally condemning the lights, try shining them on a wall about 40-50 ft away and readjusting the height. Makes incredible difference.
For info, after doing above, have found lights to be far better than what came orig. on my old Coupe Quattro. Lights now on A4 are good enuf that I am not considering going to a Euro unit.

I adjusted my lights higher than the factory settings and it makes a world of difference.Just check that your not blinding the on coming traffic with your low beams. Cops don't like that..

Careful Ray, Fitting a headlight unit other than the one that came with your car
will impact on your warranty, also failure of your refitted headlight becomes morelikly as you are tampering with a factory fiited item and may cause serious injury or even death,
Sorry Ray Just had to throw that in.

I'll try to do it next week when I get home.... may take a bit to get the film developed, but I'll do my best....
I won't re-install the housings, but I'll put them right next to the H4's...it'll look alright...
Rich Quinlan
Nowhere near stock 1.8tqms

Quinland
