I've now seen a few posts that the various flash houses (revo, giac et al) can do B7. Great.
All I want is to lose the throttle lag - I don't care about the other features like raised rpm limit, increased performance (supposed) etc..
Are any of the tuners selling just the throttle lag loss? If not - how about it folks? $700 for the full boat (or whatever you charge now) and $200 for just fixing the throttle lag. I'd guess that there'd be a histerical run on your dealers if this happed!
While on the subject - I've read many posts and am confused to all hell on how to do it with the key and gas pedal. I've played with it and tried a few different things but nothing seems to be doing it.
Thanks all!

part of correcting the throttle lag is done by changing the performance characteristics of the car. Part of the throttle issues has to do with the way the different sensors work in the car. A LOT of research was done on the B6 S4 board and we came back with the realization it was a two part problem. 1-software 2-hardware. So the tuners can "solve" this issue by doing all kinds of little things, its not perfect but close. Just do the flash and move on.
I only have 13 months left on the lease. Investing $800 on some flash code that "may" make it better doesn't seem like an economical sanity, so to speak. But, the lag is annoying enough that I'd spend around $200 for just that to be fixed.
As to the other poster - yes you CAN do it with VAG. I know how, I have a cable, etc etc etc - but I would like to know without the cable. I recently switched computers and the software isn't working right on the new system yet. Not enough time in the day. Plus, it's not like the laptop is with me all the time right?

if you think a throttle body reset is the solution to your problem your wrong. The problem isn't what they DBW system is learning its how its learning. Resetting the throttle body might fix the issue while the system is relearning you but it does this so fast it will go back to the issues again. Also the issue isn't really in the throttle body its in other components and when you shift the issue doesn't occur for a split second because of how the system works. To solve the issue you have to fool your car into thinking your always shifting. By doing so you loose cruise control and some other creature comforts. I could bore you with two years of research on the issues with the throttle control in the S4 but at the end of the day like I said a throttle body reset it just a 10 mile fix, the chip is a permenet fix to some of the issues but others are hardware and not fixable by software.
