must be beacause AOA makes it so difficult to buy these cars. Between the dealer and AOA finance/lease terms it feels like they'd rather not bother actually doing business.

the past B5 S4 was highly modifiable, chips, turbos,DV's, wastegates, etc....I attribute the lack of easy mods to the slowness of the forum.

That and it gets old reading about Milltek exhaust, carbinio intake and wheels.

there are plenty of people who belittle and criticize others around here. makes would-be posters a bit ....... reticent

People bash other peoples decisions, and their views on the car, AOA, etc.

but what company doesn't. You have to remember a high number of reasonse people find/post/turn to audiworld is to complain about a problem and the "guilty" party is typically AoA.

It doesn't stop me from posting. There are some people around here (see links below) who prefer to spew vulgarity and throw insults rather than discussing topics. It's a shame, but there are bad apples in every crowd I guess. :-D

Having said that I should mention that one of the reasons I like this forum (and this may be hugely un-popular to say this) is that it isn't so focused on Mods.

I am very new to Audi (as in I ordered one and has yet to arrive) and furthermore fancy cars of any sort. So to me the discussions about care and maintenance + fun routes to drive + etc are far more useful to me.

And honestly I gotta say the S4 looks pretty darn nice so doing anything to it would seem counter-productive. Now if AoA would just release the RS4 Avant in the USA then I would have absolutely nothing to complain about.

But yeah - I really like this forum. Thanks guys.
