K so as I stated in my last post, I had this installed last week the stereo installers installed a switch that would allow me to engage the parking brake signal when I wanted. It seems to be a little trick to this. So far this is what I've found. If I engage the switch WHILE driving I'm able to do NAV MAP changes on the fly and everything else. I then just hit the button again to disable it. I was messing with the setting though however and all of sudden the stereo detected the parking brake hookup and disabled it. I disabled the switch, then parked. When I came back to the car and got back on the road I once again tried the same thing and Voila it worked. I haven't tried the DVD yet, but if I can make nav map changes, then the DVD function should work as well. I'll keep you guys updated on this. Hope this helps some of you.
